IKA-Werke GmbH & Co. KG, located in the southwestern German city of Staufen, can today look back through its hundred-year history. The company was founded in 1910 in Cologne with the aim of producing equipment for pharmacies and hospitals.

From the city bombed in 1942, the surviving vehicles were transported to Staufen. Within a few years, the company became a world-renowned leader in the supply of laboratory technology as well as industrial processing equipment for mixing and dispersing. IKA is now a group of companies with factories and offices in 8 cities on four continents and more than 800 employees.
